In its current form, Cardinal runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into the calculator, comparison, and financing tools are not sent to or stored on any server — they exist only on your device, for your session.
One exception: if you turn on Beginner Mode on the Analyze a deal page, that single preference is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next time you visit. No other input is saved anywhere.
Some pages load resources from third parties to function — map tiles from CARTO/OpenStreetMap on the Zones page, and web fonts from Google Fonts. These providers may log standard technical data (like your IP address) as part of serving those resources, under their own privacy policies. We don't control or receive this data.
If you email us, or subscribe to a paid plan through Stripe, we'll have access to what you directly provide (your email, and payment details handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card information). We use this only to run the service and respond to you, never for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Future features (saved deals, portfolio tracking, alerts) will require an account and will involve storing your data on our systems. When that happens, this policy will be updated in advance, and we'll be explicit about what's collected and why — not buried in a rewrite you never see.
